Single Embossing Cylinders

This embossing cylinder works independently and is different from the paired embossing cylinders. It creates embossing or debossing patterns only on the surface of an object. After being embossed, the surface of the object will have a better looking and a better ability of anti-counterfeiting and is very good at protecting trade mark.

This process can be applied to many materials, such as plastic sheets, film, aluminium foil, leather, cardboard, wallpaper, tile, grass, paper, etc.

    Correct cylinder dimension

If rotary cylinders are sized insufficiently, there is danger of bending. This applies especially to systems with no bridge and non-supported anvil cylinders. As a consequence, the cutting in the middle of the web becomes too light. A rule of thumb for magnetic cylinders, cutting cylinders and anvil cylinders is:

The circumference is at least as great as the maximum working width of the cylinder. That is:

    Width > Circumference (×)

    Width ≤ Circumference (√)

Detailed information we need from you for your ordering our solid rotary dies

As to material to be cut

    - Precise material designation

    - Type and thickness of the backing material (liner)

    - Information on through-cutting, kiss-cutting or piggy-back

    - Where necessary, send sample material by post

As to cutting unit / cylinder

    - Designation of machine type

    - Cylinder circumference

    - Gap

    - Where relevant statement if adjustable anvil cylinder is available

    As to label dimensions

    - Label shape (rectangle, circle, ellipse, special shape)

    - Label layout (number lateral / longitudinal)

    - Label size

    - Corner radius

    - Web direction

    - Drawing with dimension, sketches and samples

    - Perforations (tie / cut) in mm or points

    - Where relevant cutting contours by file with indication of printing side

For many applications in narrow web printing, solid rotary dies continue to be the first choice, e.g. for cutting very thick labels, cardboard packaging and non-woven fabrics. Our cutting cylinders are convincing and manufactured using the latest CNC technology and adapted precisely to your individual requirements. Our cutting cylinders are hardened on principle and can be repeatedly reworked and resharpened.

    - All common working widths and diameters possible, special sizes and shapes on request

    - Cutting lines: standard height 1.2 mm, maximum height depending on application

    - Multiple height per cylinder possible

    - Concentric precision ±3 µm
